Welcome to Lower Winsford Farm – Our New Adventure Begins

On 15th May 2026, we finally moved into Lower Winsford Farm, and what a journey it has been to get here.

For many years, we dreamed of leaving behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life and moving to the beautiful Devon countryside to create a family-run holiday cottage business where guests could slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a peaceful escape. After a long wait, plenty of hard work, and more than a few challenges along the way, that dream has finally become a reality.

Nestled on the Devon and Cornwall border, Lower Winsford Farm is a truly special place. Surrounded by rolling countryside, mature woodland, beautiful gardens, and our stunning private lake, we knew from the moment we arrived that this was somewhere we wanted to share with others.

Of course, moving in was just the beginning!

Since arriving, we have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare everything for our future guests. The cottages are being lovingly updated and refreshed, the extensive gardens are receiving plenty of attention, and we have begun restoring the beautiful kitchen garden so it can once again flourish.

We’ve also welcomed some very special new residents to the farm. Our alpacas, Pearl, Mable, Barbara and Kizzy, have settled into their new home in Kathy’s Corner and have quickly become part of the Lower Winsford Farm family. Guests will no doubt enjoy meeting their unique personalities during future stays.

Every day brings a new project, whether it’s tending the gardens, caring for the animals, improving the cottages, or simply exploring every corner of the farm and discovering its history. It is a busy time, but we are loving every minute of it.

There is still plenty to do, but we are making great progress and are incredibly excited about what lies ahead.

We hope to open bookings very soon and cannot wait to welcome our first guests to experience everything Lower Winsford Farm has to offer.
